i had an idea for a breakfast a long time ago and hadnt gotten around to make it until now. the idea came from these grilled cheese sandwiches i make. i use hamburger roll and press them down making like a hockey puck grilled cheese, and in the right pan you can make four no problem at once. the original idea was to put a layer of corned beef hash on top then top it with a fried egg; in a restaurant i'd mold the hash and egg to fit nicely on top of the sammich but i'm not putting forth that effort for a quick dinner.
instead of corned beef hash i made a hash out of left over pork, potatoes, and broccoli.
i used cheddar cheese on the sandwich, and i like mustard on my grilled cheese.
cooked em' in butter, although i often use mayo on the outside of the bread instead of butter in the pan but since i'm gonna cook an egg in there too the butter is more practical
i press them down on both sides, it helps the cheese melt better
the sandwiches are under the pile of hash although it's hard to tell
a little ketchup because eggs and hash aren't complete without it.
then a sunny side up egg on top of it all, good shit; real good shit
